Ledet Muleta 

 

Ledet Muleta is the Writer and Producer of the film Chula.  Ledet has been working in the field of Behavioral Health for the past 15 years.  Her passion is mental health and psychology stems from the rich experiences she has had as a Psychiatric Nurse. Ledet received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Shane Michael Colella

Shane Michael Colella has been working in the field for well over 15 years as a cinematographer, director, editor, motion graphics designer and rich media developer. Shane has worked on several nationally syndicated commercials, countless corporate digital and print campaigns and a variety of development projects from large to small.

Tony Donghyuk Yoon

Tony Donghyuk Yoon is a photographer and film producer based in the Washington D.C. Metro area, freelancing in association with Colella Films. He studied Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he developed his interest in capturing the nuances of human interaction through visual media. Upon graduation, he created and directed Beach House, a short film, which explores the fundamental human intuition of belonging and living.

Actors

Selamawit Worku

Selamawit Worku is a Singer-Songwriter and Actor born in Ethiopia and raised in Northern Virginia. Her early beginnings in music began at the young age of 4, with her developing her voice in church and in school. However, it was during her undergraduate years while attending The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in pursuit of an International Affairs degree, she made a serious commitment to cultivating her artistic dreams of becoming a professional singer/songwriter and actor. She has never looked back since! In the years that followed she acquired a degree in Jazz/Popular Music Specialization, took acting courses at The Theatre Lab in Washington, D.C., learned under the mentorship of professional seasoned local musicians, and studied musical theater at the well-known CAP21 studio in NYC while performing at various jazz jam sessions and open mics. She has performed in community choral groups, photoshoots, short films, and feature-length films. She currently resides in Brooklyn (New York) and studying to become a classically-trained actor in the two-year Evening Conservatory program at the world-renowned Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City. Tom Ukah

Tom is a Nigerian American, born Thomas Chidi Ukah (named after his grandfather) as the first child to loving Nigerian parents, Chidi and Stella Ukah in Abia Nigeria.  Tom grew up in Lagos, Nigeria studying general sciences all through middle school and high school but simultaneously engaged his passion for the arts by appearing in stage plays which kept his love for acting alive.  He eventually moved to the United States in 2007 and while studying chemical engineering, he decided to re-ignite the flame of his passion by going at it head-on in pursuit of being a full-fledged, honest, and hardworking actor. Full time. His career began in 2010 and has since grown tremendously. Tom continues to apply the simple ideas of hard work, dedication, and humility (thought to him by his mentor, his Father) to his very sought-after emerging talent. It is beyond a doubt that with his level of respect and unequivocal work ethic toward the art/industry, he will continue to be splendid in every role he embraces.

Taye W. Yilma

Taye W. Yilma also known as META graduated from Kendil film institute. An actor for the past 12 years performed in more than 15 Ethiopian films and has written and directed several Ethiopian films. In 2010 was nominated for best performing supporting Actor by the Ethiopian film association.  Currently, he resides in Washington DC metropolitan area his passion is to focus on movies and community leadership roles.  He is a proud and active participant in Evangelical Church.

Ejigayehu ( AKA GG) Solomon

Ejigayehu ( AKA GG) Solomon, moved to the United States in 2009 and has been working in different capacities in very diverse national and international organizations in Addis Ababa. She earned her BA in Linguistics from Addis Ababa University.  Eji worked as a volunteer at several community events organized by Montgomery County and the Ethiopian Community in Silver Spring, MD.  Eji is one of the known advocates for Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland.

Shamire Casselle

Shamire Casselle is a Maryland native who attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and earned a degree in English and Telecommunications. She began her journey as an actor as a teenager starting in several stage productions. Today, she continues to fuel her passion by participating in various acting and improv classes in the Baltimore area, as well as auditioning across the east coast. Her goal is to become a full-time actor and an active player in changing the standard of beauty within the Industry. Shamire lives in Baltimore City and has a toy poodle named Cinna.
